End of the Year Recap

What a year it’s been! We are so grateful for 2025 and the impact/progress being made here at Noah Homes. Thank you for the multitude of ways that you have supported us.

Because of you, 90 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities are living with dignity, comfort, and joy this year. Your heart – the unique contributions you bring to Noah Homes – are seen and felt throughout our community. In every smile, every talent-show performance, every beginning, and every grace-filled goodbye, your heart shines.

You are making a direct impact on the folks of Noah Homes, ensuring they receive the exceptional care they deserve alongside their friends. And, in supporting Noah Homes, you are supporting a care movement that raises every individual with I/DD above their diagnosis.

As we reflect on all that was accomplished in 2025, evidence of your heart is everywhere. Because of You:

  • We enhanced disaster preparedness protocols ensuring the ongoing safety of our 90 residents, a population that requires ~2x the amount of time to safely evacuate during an emergency. And after safely evacuating due to a fire threat in July 2025, we have witnessed the success of these protocols.

  • Noah’s PERCH is hosting monthly, life-enriching activities for ~200 people with I/DD including our residents and those across the greater San Diego community.

  • Folks are bravely advocating for themselves and their peers through our People First’s chapter.

  • Resident Christina has been appointed to our Board of Directors to advocate for herself and her peers.

  • Noah Homes’ care providers are growing personally and professionally through continuing educational and acknowledgement.

  • Through Noah Homes’ Training Institute of Excellence, we’re equipping care providers with the skills and confidence to improve dementia care, including care for adults with I/DD who are at a higher risk of developing dementia. We’ve also been licensed to teach classes on person-centered compassionate care and laws and regulations for care communities. While we’ve been training other organizations for about 8 years, the Training Institute of Excellence formalizes our CEU-eligible course offerings.

  • Noah Homes was named Nonprofit of the Year twice this year!  The East County Chamber of Commerce and the San Diego Business Journal awarded the honors.

  • Two of our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) received statewide awards and recognition as outstanding DSPs from respected organizations, ANCOR and the California Disability Services Association.

We could not start or continue any of these efforts without you. In this moment, we invite you to join us in marveling at the direct
impact you made this year.

As we continue into 2026, will you join your heart with others in our community of giving? There is always more work to be done, and we hope that you will continue to support us in bringing joy, dignity, and comfort to the I/DD community and folks at Noah Homes.
